What I did for valentine’s day
My mum took me shopping for a suit for a job interview coming up.
It was only at the shop that I realised how much weight I’ve put on since I stopped training in October. I started to hate myself and my body…
as per usual my hate turned quickly to anger at myself and my body…
anger turned to passion and drive to do something about it which is why I am going back to the gym starting March with my dad.
By this time September I will have the body I’ve wanted for years and I don’t care what happens in my family or personal life this time, this time I will make it!
The three types of cosplayers
There are cosplayers -
Then there are Cosplayers -
Then there are COSPLAYERS:
and all of them are great because theyre enjoying what theyre doing!!
I want to crawl in a hole & die.. Is that a bad thing?
A) Not really but you shouldn’t
B) You know you can text/call me whenever you want right?
C) How did you do this? It’s pretty cool and kind of steampunk :P
I love my mum but…
whenever we talk she brings up the same things she’s said my entire life like five times: “You need to work harder,” “when I was your age I had a child, a house, I was going to college and had a full time job,” “you need to be more proactive,” before addressing my initial thing and then having a reasonable conversation. Of course this is all smattered with praise and how much she’s proud of me but it get’s tiresome.
Still love her though and don’t want her to change but wish she wouldn’t go on so much.
I have to figure out which term will fit best with my plans. A fall term next year would work better at first but I believe that might leave me in England over Christmas holiday. It would also leave me no gap between my fall exams and spring term. I might be able to do 2015 spring term if I can find a class to correspond to a major class that is only offered that semester.
Well good luck and I hope you can, Derby and England are really good, I can’t really see myself living anywhere else (well, except a couple of places :) )
I'm not sure. I have to look at my school's catalog and figure out will transfer directly that I can use for my degree here. I'm a math major so I'll likely just be doing filler courses to get myself enough credits to graduate here.
The maths department is very good because of their connection with the computing department. Derby’s Video Game development course is one of the best in the world because of the old connection to Eidos Europe as well as many students learning at Nintendo, Bethesda and Square Enix.
If you do wind up coming over, drop me a line and I’ll hapilly show you round the uni and the city :) could you come of anon first though so I’ll know who to look for :P
My American uni does study abroad programs with Derby and Plymouth. I'm leaning towards Derby because I prefer the location.
Ah cool, well what course are you doing? Derby is very good for humanities, english and business
